powers: Ruby is a demon and thus has the power to possess humans. She can vanish from one place and appear somewhere else. She has super-human strength and can endure pain longer than humans. Unlike most demons Ruby prefers to fight with a special dagger, that can kill other demons, instead of using demonic abilities.
Having been a witch before she died Ruby has a huge knowledge of magic and spells.

allegiance: being a demon Ruby is evil by nature, but she is helping the good side

Friendships: Ruby is a demon and doesn't really have friends. She has a rather friendly relationship with Sam Winchester however and a less friendly one with his brother Dean.

Sexuality: straight

Strengths: Rubys strenghts lie in her vast knowledge about the supernatural and her fighting skills. She is also strong-willed and ready to do anything to reach her goals, even sacrifice herself or others.

Weaknesses: Rubys weakness is her temper. If she thinks something has to be done a certain way and someone else doesn't want to do it her way she can become annoyed and walk away.
Some might also call her ability to remember her human life a weakness. She simply can't let go and thus acts against her demonic nature.

What was your character doing before they arrived on the island?
Ruby went after Sam and Dean when they stole her dagger to kill Lilith. She knew they wouldn't stand much of a chance alone and thus followed them.

-> Ruby is brought into the rpg shortly before Lilith takes over her human body.

backstory: (most of this is made up, as not much is known about Ruby in the show)

human life:
Ruby was born in 1557 in Norwich, England. She lived a simple life in a farmers family. She married her longtime friend Aldin at the age of 17 and they started their own family a year later. Ruby had never been happier than when her son Brion was born. She loved him and her husband with all her heart.
In january 1559 the first outbreaks of the plague started to worry the people of Norwich. Aldins parents were among the first victims. Many followed during the next months. Ruby was very scared, especially when her own parents got sick and then died soon after.
A friend of hers, Aelina, then told her she knew a way out of this, a way to keep their loved ones save. Of course Ruby wanted to know how. Aelina was a witch and started to teach Ruby everything she knew. Her hesitations were soon forgotten as Ruby started to love witchcraft. She managed to keep her husband and son healthy, as well as get some other benefits out of it.
Then Aldin found out what Ruby was doing. Scared of it he tried to make Ruby stop. She didn't want to, but eventually agreed, loving him too much not to listen to him.
Then, one day, Ruby found Aldin dead in their house, blood all over his body. Her 4 year old son was sitting in a corner of the room, rocking back and forward, crying. He never spoke a word again, no matter what Ruby tried.
Ruby then found a witchbag hidden in her house and knew what must have happened. Aelina had killed her husband because he didn't agree to them using witchcraft.
Ruby felt devastated, but started to learn as much as she could about witchcraft and how to stop spells. She knew that as soon as she went after her former friend she would need all the knowledge and she had to protect Brion, who was all she had left now.
When she finally went to face off Aelina she met the demon she got her powers from for the first time and learned that she sold her soul to her. She was shocked and scared, especially after the demon killed Aelina.
Ruby made it out alive, being 'allowed' to live for now. She didn't practice magic anymore, being too scared of it and too horrified after finding out where the power came from. She went to church regularly, hoping to save her sould.
Then Brion got sick. Ruby tried everything to save him from the plague, even using magic again. But it was too late. He died in her arms.
Ruby was devastated and furious. In her pain she decided to go after the demon. She apparently lost her own soul and wasn't even allowed to save her son? That just wasn't fair.
Finally finding the demon Ruby died facing her. She was 22 then.

after dying:
Having sold her sould Ruby went to hell after her death. She spent centuries being tortured and was turned into a demon. It is what happens to humans who sell their soul. They become demons.
Most demons forget what it feels like to be human. For Ruby part of her torture was having to remember the death of her husband and son over and over again. She simply couldn't forget that, even if she wanted to. It is what reminds her how it was to be human and what makes her want to help good to win over evil. Noone else should have to suffer the way she did.

When the Gates of Hell opened in 2007 Ruby managed to escape. She posessed a young dying woman, that looked a little like she used to look herself, taking over the body and repairing the damage to it. Then she went to find Sam Winchester to help him in his fight.
She knew that the Winchesters were the ones mostly feared by demons and she knew about Sam Winchesters 'destiny'. He was the one she had to find.

When she found him Ruby rescued Sam from three demons he was fighting, killing them with her dagger.

After that Ruby approached Sam several times, finally revealing to him her true nature. He wanted to kill her but she promised that she could save his brother Dean from going to hell. Sam decided to let her live and she continued to help him and Dean when she saw it fit.
